Explosion Claims 3 Police Officers During Eviction Operation in the Verona Area
Three members of law enforcement lost their lives and more than a dozen others sustained injuries in an apparently deliberate blast caused by gas at a rural property in the northern part of Italy.

The explosion was triggered as police and firefighters entered the house near the Verona region to carry out an removal notice for three siblings in their late 50s and mid-60s.
Each of the three deceased individuals served in the Carabinieri force.
Legal Proceedings
One male and one female were taken into custody at the site and a third person who ran away following the explosion was apprehended not long after. The trio have been transported to hospital.
