Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the global fight fans offered condolences for the star in the following the devastating accident.
